This food gem providing some amazing light and protein-filled bowls, opened right in the heart of London on Dean Street, Soho a few months ago. HoniPoke offers Hawaiian bowls which by the way, you can customise them how you want, are a great alternative to sushi.
We were intrigued by the surfboard sitting right outside the restaurant. For a second you feel like you are in Southern California ready to taste some fresh fish. Once we stepped inside we lingered for a while and this is how we met Vladimir and Kosta, the business owners.
What can I get?
You can choose from one of their four signature bowls or feel bold and do your own! Pick any of the following – fresh, high-grade tuna, salmon, octopus or organic tofu; add some salty mango, nori seaweed, and crispy onion. Sprinkle some sticky rice and ask for their secret sauce to kick your bowl up a notch.
Vladimir, owner of HoniPoke, preparing a delicious Hawaiian bow
I bet you can get really thirsty after trying these succulent bowls. Vladimir was telling us they serve a wide choice of soft drinks to go hand-in-hand with their healthy dishes. Pick your favorite cold pressed juice, we love the mango flavor.
Before you leave, don’t forget to ask Vladimir about their loyalty card. Kosta is a big believer in carrying around a paper card in his wallet. This way he remembers a brand much easier and has something tangible to show to his friends.
